Summer Jobs Service is a program offered from April to September to students returning to school and to employers that hire students.

INFORMATION FOR STUDENT JOB SEEKERS

If you are between the ages of 15 and 30, returning to school, legally entitled to work in Canada and seeking summer employment, we can help!

Our Summer Jobs program offers you:

  • FREE access to summer job leads and on-line job postings
  • FREE help in your search for a summer job
  • FREE assistance with resume and cover letter writing
  • Resource areas with access to phone, fax and internet

INFORMATION FOR SUMMER EMPLOYERS

Summer Jobs Service is a government funded program offering eligible employers a wage subsidy of $2 per hour to create summer jobs for students who are:

  • Between the ages of 15 and 30
  • Must be returning to high school, college or university

Niagara College's Job Centres facilitate this program by helping you connect with summer workers who are matched to your business needs. Our consultants will help you by:

  • Offering free on-line job posting services
  • Screening and resume referral for potential Summer Jobs Service employees

Please contact our office for Summer Jobs Service wage subsidy details and employer eligibility requirements. For your convenience you can complete your application online then print and fax to us at 905-988-4316 or drop it off at our Niagara Falls location and we will contact you. Please note that all Employers who took part in last years program must have their Completed Applications submitted no later than April 15, 2010. All New Employer Applications need to be received by June 4, 2010 to be considered for the 2010 Summer Jobs Service program.
