Days & Hours

The duration of employment will be from June to the end of August 2010. Hours are normally 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. Some overtime may be required. Dates and times may vary slightly from region to region. A performance-based incentive program is avialable to successful candidates.

Job Details
|
Primary Responsibilities:
Driving in traffic and mosquito larvadicing to catch basiins or standing water, GPS mapping, accurate record keeping, data input, monitoring, sampling, trapping, efficacy trials, report writing. Some positions require operating a motorized scooter on a daily basis.
Skills and Experience required by the position:
Highly motivated, a good work ethic, energetic, responsible, detailed oriented, ability to work independently, good driving skills, safety conscious and ability to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions. Some positions require the successful candidate to obtain a M1 (written test) drivers license.
Applicants should have an interest in Biology, Entomology, Engineerying, Geography, Ecology or other related fields. A valid driver's license and clean drivers abstract is required. A pesticide technicians license is required (a written exam is done internally). Safety, WHMIS and other practical training will be provided.
